New synthesis method forms selenocarbamates, highlighting antioxidant potential for drug modification.
We described a new path for the preparation of Se -CH 3 selenocarbamates from readily accessible carboxylic acids, isocyanides, and PhSO 2 SeCH 3 with the formation of new C–Se and C–N bonds. This protocol is not only suitable for late-stage derivatization of carboxylic acid drugs but also permits double reactions of three-component reactions. Most importantly, compound 4t possesses potential antioxidant activity and may alleviate oxidative stress damage by regulating the Nrf2 signaling pathway.
