Evaluates vascular abnormalities in fibula flap harvest, suggesting preoperative CTA may be beneficial.
Objectives: A fibula flap is frequently used to reconstruct bony defects. Although anatomical variations of the peroneal artery are uncommon, the necessity of preoperative vascular evaluation remains controversial. This study aimed to determine whether preoperative computed tomography angiography (CTA) can identify vascular abnormalities that may alter the surgical plan for fibula flap harvest.
