Archaeological evaluation identifies modern disturbance in a site without significant finds.
All fieldwork was undertaken in accordance with current best practice and the CIfA's Standard and universal guidance for archaeological field evaluation (CIfA, 2023a, 2023b). All invasive ground-breaking works were monitored by a suitably experienced and qualified archaeologist. Four trenches were excavated from 3-4 June 2025. A single field boundary ditch was uncovered, containing modern finds. Other modern activity/disturbance was evident across the site. No significant archaeology was encountered.
