Accelerating organizational decarbonization demands more than policy ambition, it requires practical, scalable tools and the human expertise to deploy them. This paper presents a holistic framework combining an energy transition methodology, decarbonization audit tools, and targeted training programmes for energy professionals across multiple sectors. Drawing on results from a European-funded project implementation, a replicable, evidence-based model for institutional capacity building is demonstrated, addressing the persistent gap between EU climate targets and on-the-ground organisational capability. The framework enables companies to independently design, execute and sustain decarbonization strategies, shifting organizations from compliance-driven inaction to self-directed climate leadership. Results confirm measurable improvements in energy efficiency outcomes and audit quality, offering a transferable blueprint for accelerating the industrial energy transition at scale.
