Identifies unique learning styles in accounting majors, suggesting tailored teaching strategies.
This paper discusses the theory of experiential learning and describes how the learning styles of a large group of seniors majoring in accounting can be measured using Kolb's Learning Style Inventory (LSI). Four distinct learning styles are identified using Kolb's LSI. The study shows that the learning styles of accountants differ from other academic majors. The learning styles of the accounting majors were also analyzed in terms of their implications for the selection of appropriate teaching strategies and methods by accounting instructors.
