Foundational tutorial explores the Standard Model's gaps and proposes a new framework for parameter derivation.
The Standard Model of particle physics is the most precisely tested theory in the history of science — and simultaneously the theory with the most embarrassing structural gap. It works with extraordinary accuracy, yet it cannot explain itself. To make its predictions, the SM requires 19 to 28 free parameters to be measured by experiment and inserted by hand: particle masses, coupling strengths, mixing angles, and the cosmological constant. None of these numbers is predicted by the theory. This foundational tutorial explains why the Standard Model's free parameters are not explanations, why a complete physical theory must derive its own constants, and how the GTE (Generative Triple Evolution) framework addresses this gap by deriving all Standard Model parameters from a single 19-bit algebraic certificate with zero free parameters.
