New productivity model provides targeted pathways to overcome traditional bottlenecks in Panxi's wellness sector.
The paper outlines strategic pathways for developing the health and wellness industry in China's Panxi region through technological innovation, industrial integration, and green development.
May inform regional wellness strategies in Panxi; leaves open broader efficacy and generalizability pending rigorous validation.
Against the backdrop of global economic restructuring and accelerating population aging, the Panxi region has emerged as a pivotal wellness hub in Southwest China, capitalizing on its unique resources including sunshine, forests, hot springs, and ethnic cultures. The new-generation productivity model—centered on technological innovation, industrial integration, and green development—serves as a key driver for overcoming bottlenecks and achieving high-quality growth in the region's wellness sector. However, traditional wellness models face challenges such as service homogenization, insufficient technological empowerment, and shallow industrial integration. To address these issues, the study proposes targeted solutions: enhancing "vanadium-titanium + wellness" R&D, establishing an integrated "wellness + diversified industries" framework, precisely aligning wellness needs with Panxi's distinctive features, and developing an "ecological + low-carbon" wellness model. These initiatives aim to position Panxi as a national demonstration zone for high-quality development in the wellness industry.
