Randomized trial analyzes multiple-choice tests' quality through classical test theory statistics, improving assessments.
mcqAnalysis is an R package that consolidates the standard set of classical test theory (CTT) statistics for multiple-choice question analysis into a single, well-documented interface. The package computes item difficulty, item discrimination via point-biserial correlation and the upper-lower 27 percent index, per-distractor analysis, and Haladyna’s distractor efficiency. A wrapper function returns a tidy S3 object with print, plot, and APA-style table methods. The package is implemented in pure R with no compiled code, ships with an example dataset and a vignette, is verified by 78 unit tests, and is available from CRAN.
