Assesses the factor structure, reliability, and validity of a gender minority stress measure in TGD youth and adults, indicating its applicability.
The Gender Minority Stress and Resilience Measure (GMSRM) is the most widely used scale to assess gender minority stress. Yet, previous literature demonstrated inconsistent results regarding factor structure, reliability, and validity of the distal and proximal stress scales. Thus, the goal of this study is to assess the best fitting factor structure of the Dutch version of the Gender Minority Stress Measure (GMSM) and to examine its reliability and validity in a clinic-referred sample of TGD youth and adults from the Netherlands.
