Randomized trial evaluates a pre-inflationary transition mechanism, indicating implications for cosmic stability.
We present a rigorous covariant formulation of the temporal nucleation mechanism preceding the inflationary epoch, derived from the Weight of Time (PdT) theory. Standard inflationary cosmology successfully describes the Universe from t ~ 10⁻³² s, but leaves the stability of the primordial fluctuation at the singularity t = 0 physically unexplained. We propose that the pre-inflationary transition is governed by the emergence of a temporal scalar condensate, whose effective lapse W(t, x) acts as a gravitational stabilizer on quantum vacuum fluctuations crossing the Planck energy threshold. We derive the modified stochastic Klein-Gordon equation governing the nascent temporal phonon in a zero-background metric, establish the feedback coupling between accumulated temporal weight Ω_pt and the local energy density, and show that the system undergoes a phase transition at the Planck density ρ_Pl = c⁵ / (ħ G²), triggering the explosive decompression identified with the Big Bang. Post-nucleation crystallization of baryonic matter is described as a symmetry-breaking cascade driven by the exponential growth of the temporal mass. The model predicts a specific gravitational slip η(k) ≠ 1 at the onset of inflation, testable by future CMB polarization surveys.
