The innovative development of local intangible cultural heritage IP is not only a cultural practice that continues the historical context and the national spirit, but also a key to promoting the vivid presentation of intangible cultural heritage. Universities play an important role in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. Based on the current background of inheriting intangible cultural heritage, this article explores the internal mechanism of how universities assist in the innovative development of local intangible cultural heritage IP, and systematically summarizes the practical difficulties encountered by universities in this process. Based on this, in accordance with the teaching characteristics and positioning of universities, this paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions such as incorporating intangible cultural heritage education into the teaching plan, establishing a regular collaborative education mechanism between professional teachers and intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and using digital technology as a tool to expand the scenarios of intangible cultural heritage education, so as to provide useful references for achieving the coordinated development of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and talent cultivation, and promoting the innovative development of local intangible cultural heritage IP.
