Examines thermal currents' role in skyrmion dynamics, suggesting new spintronic applications.
Thermal‐current induced electron and spin dynamics in caloritronics have stimulated widespread interest in the spintronics community. In particular, a detailed examination of the thermal motion of spin textures is important for spintronics applications, which motivates the present study. We illustrate the diversities of dynamic responses of spin textures displayed while under a temperature gradient ∇Tor thermal current. Of these, heat current‐driven transformation from half‐disk domains to skyrmions is confirmed, which is useful for understanding the generation mechanisms of those spin structures. Furthermore, we investigate the thermal dynamics of skyrmions, which are evaluated at a wide range of ∇Tfrom 0 K/µm to 69 K/µm, providing a panoramic view of skyrmions thermal dynamics, including interesting topological transformation driven by the proliferation of wall‐typed topological defects and thermal‐current induced skyrmion Hall motion. Our findings can be useful for understanding thermal‐current induced spin dynamics and implementing spintronic devices.
