Recent examples illustrate cascade trifluoromethylation and cyclization, highlighting its significance in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
A cascade reaction in organic chemistry generates new bonds in a single step, which simply contributes to more efficient routes, shorter steps, and simplified work‐up protocol. Trifluoromethylation is useful to synthesize organofluorine compounds for the development of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Herein, selected recent examples of cascade cyclization with trifluoromethylation are described.
