Genome sequencing reveals microbial defense mechanisms in Antarctic Psychrobacter, suggesting ecological adaptations.
We report the draft genome sequence of Psychrobacter sp . strain TPE 89C, isolated from Antarctic seawater (25 m depth). The 3.41-Mbp assembly (42.4% GC, 484× coverage) contains a putative Type I-F CRISPR-Cas system with 86 spacers. This resource supports future research on microbial defense and adaptation in extreme environments.
