Shows enhanced potassium storage performance in heterostructure anodes, indicating promising energy storage applications.
The Bi 2 Se 3 /SnSe 2 @C heterostructure anode encapsulated within a carbon matrix was synthesized by coordination reactions followed by selenization. This rationally designed composite enhances K + diffusion kinetics and electron transfer synergistically, leading to outstanding potassium storage performance. It delivers excellent cycling stability and rate performance. At a high current density of 1000 mA g −1 , the Bi 2 Se 3 /SnSe 2 @C delivers an initial discharge capacity of 274.1 mAh g −1 , and exhibits stable cycling stability for 1000 cycles.
