Experimental approach reveals color selectivity and binocular effects in visual perception mechanisms.
Experimental evidences support the following inferences: In human visual system there must be certain detectors which deal with informations contingent on orientation and color sub ranges of stimulus dimension. There are channels functioning within opponent color system, hence color polarity affects tilt aftereffect. Some receptive fields tuned to certain range of orientation and others tuned to different hue combination. There exists interocular tilt aftereffect transfer. The existence of unique binocular color detectors besides monocular ones has been also disclosed.
