Analysis identifies unique UFO sightings, revealing characteristics of potential unknown phenomena.
Sensational reports and claims since 2017 have recharged an interest in UFOs, but government-mandated investigations seem destined to repeat the errors of the past. A better course should ignore dubious claims and focus on the highest quality reports. Most witnesses misidentify conventional sights, but the remainder of reports, two or three percent, come from high-quality witnesses under favorable conditions and describe unknown objects of unusual appearance, no visible means of propulsion, and extraordinary speed and maneuverability. If a unique UFO phenomenon exists, these are the cases most likely to reveal its characteristics.
