Develops a battery monitoring system for a 350 V lithium polymer battery pack, indicating improved efficiency and safety.
This work presents the design in progress of a monitoring system which is intended to be implemented within a Battery Management System (BMS) for a 350 V, 5.6 kWh Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery pack. The aim is to develop electronic modules capable of measuring the voltage, current, and temperature of each cell in order to estimate the State of Charge (SoC) and protect against critical operating conditions. The system will consist of the electronic monitoring modules, the microcontroller programming, and modular integration into the BMS. These electronic modules are designed and developed specifically for the previously mentioned battery bank, which is expected to supply a 2-wheeled electric vehicle.
