Case series reports rare primary renal malignant mesenchymal tumors, indicating challenges in diagnosis and treatment.
Malignant mesenchymal tumors of the kidney are rare, diagnostically challenging neoplasms with variable biological behaviors. Here, we present a series of five rare primary renal malignant mesenchymal tumors, comprising one case each of solitary fibrous tumor, synovial sarcoma, and pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma, and two cases of Ewing sarcoma. Accurate diagnosis depends on histopathological and immunohistochemical evaluation, and further confirmation is made by molecular studies. Given their aggressive nature and poor prognosis, early recognition and ongoing documentation of such cases are crucial for improving therapeutic strategies and outcomes.
