Experimental studies simulate nanofiber production from polyacrylonitrile solution, implying potential material optimization.
The paper presents theoretical and experimental studies of the technology of blown spinning of nanofibers from a polyacrylonitrile solution for the production of nonwoven materials. Numerical modeling of atomizing air flows in a coaxial nozzle and their interaction with a polymer solution is presented. A model is developed for further optimization of parameters and scaling up the production of nanofiber materials. The mathematical model allows us to determine the distribution of air flow velocity throughout the entire working space, which affects the diameter and structure of the fibers, and to visualize the process of transforming a drop of the polymer solution into a thin thread, which allows us to study in detail the stages of fiber formation. As a result of experimental studies, nanofibers with an average diameter of 237 nm are obtained.
