Demonstrates local protein structure prediction in macOS users, indicating easier access for researchers.
Recent advances in in silico protein structure prediction, particularly through AlphaFold, have enabled highly accurate modelling of proteins and their interactions. However, existing solutions either rely on precomputed databases or require technical expertise for local installation and execution. To address this, ConformationLab Studio was developed as a standalone macOS application providing a graphical user interface for running ColabFold with AlphaFold2 locally. The software allows users to configure prediction parameters without command-line interaction and provides real-time progress monitoring. A standard FASTA file serves as input, and predicted structures can be visualized directly within the application using an embedded third-party molecule viewer. By bundling all dependencies, the tool lowers technical barriers for students and early-stage researchers.
