Demonstrates improved robustness in networked control systems, suggesting practical applications in automation.
This paper studies the robust control problem of networked control systems (NCSs) under both multi‐source disturbances and communication delays. In particular, a novel composite disturbance‐rejection technique combined with the networked predictive control (NPC) framework is presented for the considered NCSs. First, Luenberger‐type observers are established to reconstruct the system state and the matched disturbance. Subsequently, an observer‐based NPC framework is constructed to compensate for communication delays actively. Meanwhile, a composite disturbance‐rejection scheme integrating disturbance reconstruction and sliding mode control is developed to suppress matched and non‐matched multi‐source disturbances. Further, the corresponding observer‐based sliding‐mode predictive controller is designed to enhance the robustness of the concerned NCSs. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a numerical simulation and a robot experiment.
