This article explores francophonie through the FLE teacher education at UFF, highlighting its humanistic approach.
This article aims at presenting some aspects of francophonie in Brazil, using as a case study the example of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), at Niteroi, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. We will study more closely the French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher education at this university, with an emphasis on learning projects such as French for Specific Purpose (FOS) and French for University Purpose (FOU), as well as on Choix Goncourt Brésil (CGB), a collective reading project of contemporary fiction based on the renowned literary Gouncourt Prize. By focusing on these initiatives, we intend to show how a humanistic approach serves as a foundation for the French as a Foreign Language training program at UFF, intertwining language and literature.
