Comprehensive review highlights green tea's health benefits, suggesting its therapeutic potential across various conditions.
Green tea is one of the most ancient and popular beverages consumed around the world. Green tea is unfermented product made from the leaves of magical herb Camellia sinensis. Now a day’s which is one of the most popular therapeutic beverages globally. Although health benefits have been attributed to tea, especially green tea consumption since the beginning of its history, scientific investigations of this beverage and its constituents have been underway for less than three decades. Among the important health benefits of green tea are: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic, and antimicrobial properties, and benefits in oral health and cardiovascular disease. The useful antioxidant property of green tea lies with their huge collection of useful chemical substances called polyphenols and catechins. The major objective of this review is to focus primarily on researches conducted to investigate the medicinal properties and health benefits of green tea.
