This research analyzes recruitment inefficiencies in public sector organizations in Bangladesh, suggesting improvements for better governance.
Performance efficiency of the Public Sector in Bangladesh has been an area of concern for both the government and the general public. IMF and World Bank have also been stressing the need to introduce measures for good governance in various sectors. However, the efficiency of any organization depends largely on the efficient processes as well as the human resources to perform a number of operations. This paper is based on research to analyze the effects of shortfalls in the recruitment and selection process undertaken by different public sector organizations. The aim of this research is to identify the weak areas in the selection process and recommend some solutions to it.
