Randomized trial explores spatial regulation for sustainable development in urban planning, implying new management strategies.
The study examines the possibility of applying smart technologies for spatial regulation of sustainable development in regional urban planning systems. It uses the example of a specific territory – the Sysertsky municipal district in the attraction zone of the Yekaterinburg urban planning system. The potential for regulating and ensuring the sustainability of urban planning systems is assessed using efficiency criteria, comprehensive indicators, and factor-by-factor analysis. The sociocultural component of spatial regulation is defined as strategic goal setting, as provided for in policy documents and taking into account ethical aspects. The theoretical concept of spatial regulation of sustainable development of the core and attraction zone of the urban planning system is tested in experimental design. The concept includes ensuring the architectural and spatial organization, and management of the framework and inter-framework territories of the urban planning system using an algorithm for forming compositional and stylistic means of the appearance of territories with the help of neural networks based on the SDXL platform. The conclusion is made about the possibility of developing a new direction in urban planning of the sociocultural space using smart tools that take into account the strategic priorities of the organization and the methodology of spatial planning management. Then, further research opportunities are identified.
