Indian English literature reflects the cultural, spiritual, and moral ethos of India while simultaneously contributing to the growth of nationalism. From the colonial period to the post-independence era, writers used English as a medium to express indigenous identity, resist colonial domination, and promote unity. This paper examines major poets and novelists and highlights how their works embody Indian values such as dharma, non-violence, social justice, and cultural harmony.
