Over the course of its 120-year development, Chinese cinema has deeply engaged with three fundamental questions that have influenced its trajectory: what path it should pursue; for whom it serves, and what kind of human-being should it aim to portray through its storytelling. Standing at the historical milestone of its 120th anniversary, the path of nationalization for Chinese cinema is increasingly broadening within the framework of the Dao of cultural confidence.
