Dataset analyzes cabbage market prices, covering price fluctuations vital for farmers and consumers.
Chinese cabbage stands as one of the most essential vegetables in Chinese households, with its price fluctuations directly impacting both living costs and farmers’ incomes. Analyzing these price patterns proves crucial for optimizing agricultural supply chains, stabilizing market prices, and safeguarding farmers’ earnings. This study integrates data from China’s National Key Agricultural Product Market Information Platform and wholesale market prices from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and constructs a comprehensive dataset of Chinese cabbage market prices. Through cross-validation, standardized calculation, consistency verification, and manual stratified sampling review, the dataset is rendered standardized and reliable. The dataset covers daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual price information for 2015 to 2024 across China and all 31 provincial-level regions, containing 132,044 records. It also includes 383 supporting visualizations, such as trend charts and comparative line graphs showing month-to-month and year-to-year changes. These resources provide reliable support for cabbage price forecasting, supply chain analysis, and policy formulation aimed at stabilizing prices and ensuring market supply. Collectively, they contribute to the sustainable development of China’s vegetable industry.
