This study aims to determine the extent to which social comparison via the social media platform TikTok influences relationship satisfaction in romantic relationships among young adults in Indonesia. Young adults were selected as participants because they constitute the majority of TikTok users. The study population consisted of 143 participants (86 women and 57 men), with a sample of 105 individuals selected using purposive sampling. Participants were asked to complete a questionnaire with two scales to measure relationship social comparison and relationship satisfaction among TikTok users in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas. The analysis method used was simple linear regression. The analysis results showed that social comparison has a significant role on relationship satisfaction, with a Coefficient of Determination (r²) of 0.057 and a significance value of p = 0.014 < 0.050. The contribution of social comparison was 5.7%. It can be concluded that the hypothesis stating that there is a significant role of social comparison from content on TikTok in predicting relationship satisfaction in romantic relationships is accepted.
