Shows positive effects of green supply chain and fossil energy efficiency on energy resilience, indicating vital policy implications.
This study employed linear and nonlinear approaches to test the effects of green supply chain (GSC) and fossil energy efficiency (FEE) on energy resilience (ERI) of G7 countries. The study chose data from 2001 to 2021 and employed the classifier lasso (C‐lasso) for empirical investigation. Furthermore, the study analyzed the nonlinear effects of the variables using panel nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL). The findings from C‐lasso indicate that GSC and FEE have positive, significant effects on ERI. At the same time, the panel NARDL noted that positive shocks to the GSC and FEE positively influence ERI , whereas negative shocks to the GSC diminish ERI in these countries. Further, the study identifies multiple causal links among the variables. The study identified significant policies, prioritizing GSCs and energy efficiency as key drivers of ERI.
