Cross-sectional survey identifies factors affecting nutrition nurses' knowledge and practices, suggesting improvements in education and team involvement.
The aim of this study was to identify factors influencing the knowledge and practices of nutrition nurses in preventing and managing complications associated with enteral nutrition. A cross-sectional online survey was conducted targeting nutrition nurses. Nurses with more professional experience, longer hours worked in nutrition, relevant certified or non-certified training, involvement in in-service education, full-time participation in nutrition support teams, and regular patient visits had significantly higher knowledge scores ( P < .05). Expanding this study across different countries, supporting continuous education for nurses, and ensuring full-time roles within nutrition teams may contribute to enhanced nutrition care practices.
