The author's editable Microsoft Word source files for the monograph Cædmon's Hymn: A Multimedia Study, Edition and Archive (SEENET A.8; Cambridge: Medieval Academy of America and D. S. Brewer, 2005). They represent the final author state of the text, from the editing session of 2 September 2005, and comprise the Word master document together with the chapters, supplementary notes, critical editions, witness archive, glossary, bibliography, analytic index, and front matter. The set was assembled as the newest surviving version of each component from the author's working folders: the master and installation documents from one working copy, the chapters and apparatus from another, all carrying 2 September 2005 timestamps. Two minor components (a chapter table and the jacket blurb) survive only in earlier versions and are included as found. Word autosave backups (.wbk) are omitted as duplicates. The digital-edition manuscript transcriptions and edition archive (~116 MB of XML and image files) are not included here: they belong to the digital edition rather than the book text and are a separate body of material. This record is a companion to the pre-publication PDF manuscript (10.5281/zenodo.20755066). The published edition is available as a 2018 internet reprint at https://caedmon.seenet.org/.
