Digital Evidence Analyzer automates forensic evidence extraction in a web-based platform, enhancing cybersecurity training.
Digital Evidence Analyzer is a web-based forensic investigation platform developed to automate the extraction and analysis of forensic evidence from digital files. The system enables users to upload digital files through a browser interface and perform metadata extraction, steganography detection, file integrity verification, and automated forensic report generation. The backend is developed using Python Flask and employs ExifTool for metadata extraction, Pillow (PIL) for steganography analysis through Least Significant Bit (LSB) inspection, and ReportLab for automated forensic PDF report generation. File integrity is verified through MD5 and SHA-256 cryptographic hash generation. The platform supports multiple file formats including JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOCX, and TXT files. Designed primarily for educational and cybersecurity training purposes, the system provides a beginner-friendly environment for learning practical digital forensics concepts without requiring installation of complex forensic software.
