This article examines six evidence-based nutrition principles, synthesizing current nutritional science with Ayurvedic dietary wisdom: the primacy of food quality over macronutrient ratios; the gut microbiome as primary mediator of nutritional outcomes; the anti-inflammatory dietary pattern (Mediterranean and traditional Indian diets); the timing of eating and its interaction with circadian biology; the specific nutritional needs of the Indian population given genetic and epidemiological factors; and the Ayurvedic concept of Agni (digestive fire) as a framework for constitutionally personalized nutrition. Common nutrition myths are identified and corrected against current research evidence.
