This preprint presents a comparative study of travelling motifs in Balkan construction-sacrifice ballads, with a particular focus on Greek material in relation to wider Balkan traditions. The study combines philological comparison, motif analysis and geographical mapping in order to examine patterns of transmission, variation and cultural interaction across the Balkan region. The paper is based on previous independent research and has been translated and revised from the original Russian version.
