Uncovers intervention points in aging pathways, suggesting new strategies to reduce preventable deaths.
This paper formalizes the Biological Zero-Day Mechanism (BZM), a concept introduced in Till Death Tear Us Apart (Huynh, 2026) and identified therein as the primary driver of political activation independent of comprehensive longevity technology. By precise analogy with cybersecurity, AI-driven biological research continuously discovers previously unknown intervention points in aging pathways — biological zero-days — each of which retroactively and prospectively reclassifies a set of ongoing deaths from biologically inevitable to economically contingent upon access conditions. We establish four formal properties: discreteness, permanence, accumulation, and asymmetric asymmetry. We develop a Compound Poisson Jump Process formalization with ARSI-coupled arrival rate, calibrated against three empirical anchors: the GLP-1 cardiovascular reclassification (2024), the ClockBase Agent discovery dataset (Ying et al., 2025), and the DunedinPACE socioeconomic biological age gradient (Belsky et al., 2022). We derive three theorems and directly address three recurring misreadings of the longevity asymmetry claim — that it reduces to health inequality, constitutes transhumanism, or requires elite immortality to produce political consequences. Under verified parameter estimates, T*(0.05) ≈ 5.9 years from the 2026 baseline, robust across the empirically plausible parameter space.
