Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation is the responsibility of the Party, the people, and the armed forces. For political theory lecturers, this is a crucial task and a major responsibility in contributing to the firm protection of Vietnam’s socialist-oriented political system. This article examines several key issues, including the concept of the Party’s ideological foundation, the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, the objective necessity of such protection, and the characteristics of political theory lecturers in safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation. On that basis, the article analyzes and highlights the role of political theory lecturers in protecting and consolidating the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
