Abstract This work offers a cognitive‑modeling critique of the long‑standing assumption that general relativity and quantum mechanics must be unified at the Planck scale. Through mathematical and philosophical analysis, the paper argues that the Planck length ℓP=ℏGc3 is not a fundamental scale of nature but a pure algebraic combination of macroscopic and microscopic parameters, marking the failure boundary of our current cognitive framework. The pursuit of “unification” is shown to rest on a category error—reifying mathematical models and forcing them into a single description of reality. The paper proposes a paradigm shift from model unification to framework emergence, asking whether a deeper ordered structure could give rise to both general relativity and quantum mechanics as emergent approximations. Finally, it discusses how the age of artificial intelligence is democratizing paradigm‑level scientific thinking, enabling broader participation in foundational inquiry.
