Does TAVR improve long-term safety and efficacy compared to SAVR in low-risk patients with severe aortic stenosis?
This updated meta-analysis aims to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of TAVR versus SAVR in low-risk patients with severe aortic stenosis using 6- to 10-year trial data.
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is increasingly being adopted in low-risk patients; however, long-term comparative data with SAVR are limited. The recent release of 6-year outcomes from the EVOLUT Low Risk trial, 7-year outcomes from the PARTNER-3 trial and 10-year outcomes from the NOTION trial prompted an updated analysis to evaluate long-term safety and efficacy in this population.
