This framework organizes and describes the visible sky from Earth, highlighting observational relationships among celestial bodies.
Clockwise Cosmology is a terrestrial observational framework for the structured organization and description of the visible sky from a specific position on the Earth’s surface at a specific moment in time. It establishes an observer-centered model organized through the terrestrial observer, the horizon, the rising point, and direct sky experience. Within this domain, it formalizes recurring observational relationships involving three distinguishable timescales of celestial change, a 365-CC-degree representation of ecliptic position linked to the solar year, and seven naked-eye visible bodies observed against the stellar background. The framework describes positional relationships, directional appearances, experiential timescales, and observer-centered celestial organization without introducing interpretive, theological, predictive, or causal claims. Its contribution lies in bringing these observational elements into a single governed descriptive structure. The Three Clocks distinguish the long-duration shift of the equinoctial reference position relative to the stellar background, the daily sweep of the visible celestial field, and the independent positional drift of the seven visible bodies as separate observational layers. The 365-CC-degree ecliptic representation links solar progression to the terrestrial annual cycle, while the seven naked-eye visible bodies define the primary moving subjects of the framework’s observational scope. Clockwise Cosmology does not propose the discovery of new celestial phenomena or offer a physical theory of celestial causation. It draws upon established astronomical measurement systems, ephemerides, and positional data as precision infrastructure, while organizing that information according to an observer-centered descriptive purpose. In this way, the framework provides a formal observational architecture for describing and organizing the visible sky from Earth and a formal observational foundation upon which applied descriptive, educational, analytical, or interpretive frameworks may be developed. The Clockwise System, developed by the same author, is the first applied framework built upon this model. Through a dedicated operational tool, it uses the observational structure established by Clockwise Cosmology to calculate celestial positions and construct a complete sky configuration for a specific terrestrial place and moment. Upon that observational configuration, The Clockwise System applies its own governed interpretive structure.
