Analyzes crop selection for cultivable land, suggesting sustainable adaptations to land characteristics under uncertainty.
A multicriteria decision framework based on Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis-Matching (SMAA-M) is proposed to support crop selection for cultivable land. The framework addresses crop-land unit matching under explicit preference uncertainty, without relying on fixed or a priori criterion weights. Decision recommendations are therefore derived from probabilistic acceptability measures rather than deterministic rankings. The proposed procedure involves the identification of decision criteria, the characterization of homogeneous land units, the definition of candidate crops, and the application of a multicriteria decision-support technique. Within this structure, SMAA-M enables a sustainability-oriented interpretation by emphasizing the adaptation of crops to land characteristics under uncertainty.
