Abstract

This working paper introduces the Minimum Viable Brand Readiness Model — hereafter MVB-R Model — as a conceptual framework for assessing brand governability in startups, founder-led companies, and AI-mediated organizations. The central thesis is that brand readiness is not determined by the presence of visual assets or communication materials, but by the structural governance conditions that allow a brand to remain coherent during execution, adaptation, and scaling. The model is expressed as: MVB-R = (PI × IS × TC) / PD × GC where PI is Positioning Integrity, IS is Identity System, TC is Touchpoint Coherence, PD is Perceptual Drift, and GC is Governance Continuity. The formula is presented as a conceptual diagnostic, not as a fixed quantitative instrument, scoring system, algorithm, or mathematical proof of brand success. It is designed to make brand governability visible, discussable, and structurally assessable. This paper continues the research line established in Mauro (2026), which introduced MVB OS as an AI-native Brand Governance Operating System for brand decision governance and governed execution. The present work shifts focus from the operating system logic of Brand Governance to the readiness threshold required for governance to be effective before execution, scaling, or AI-mediated production intensifies. The paper defines all model components, explains the operational logic of the formula, frames MVB-R as a governance threshold, outlines application contexts, and discusses limitations and future research directions. It also includes an intellectual property and controlled disclosure statement clarifying that the model is published at a conceptual level, while proprietary diagnostic instruments, scoring systems, thresholds, prompts, operational workflows, software implementation, module routing, registry mappings, and internal execution logic remain protected.
