Demonstrates improved ligament healing in distal radioulnar joint repairs with remnant preservation.
The deep layer of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (distal radioulnar ligament) serves as the primary stabilizer of the distal radioulnar joint. Historically, the deep triangular fibrocartilage complex was reattached to the ulnar fovea using bone tunnel or suture anchor techniques to achieve isometric repair. However, with advances in anatomical research, a more refined approach has emerged, using suture anchors for anatomic repair of the deep triangular fibrocartilage complex on the radial wall of the ulnar fovea. Additionally, the introduction of ligament remnant preservation techniques has enhanced ligament‐to‐bone healing.
