This paper examines whether recent institutional transformations surrounding physical assets can be explained through the existing theoretical framework consisting of AI as Environment, AI Environmental Theory, AI-Scored Society, and AI Capitalism. Rather than proposing a new theory, the study applies the existing framework to physical assets in order to evaluate its applicability within the Applied Layer. Using gold as the first analytical case, the paper demonstrates that institutional transformation can be examined independently from changes originating within the physical asset itself. Based on observations of legal recognition, sovereign reserve management, custody systems, ownership structures, collateral frameworks, and tokenization, the study introduces the AI Valuation Environment as an applied analytical framework describing how AI increasingly evaluates institutional environments surrounding physical assets rather than the intrinsic characteristics of the assets themselves. This paper constitutes the first Applied Layer case study within the AI Civilization Atlas framework. It demonstrates the applicability of the existing theoretical architecture to physical assets and establishes a methodological foundation for future case studies involving other categories of real-world assets.
