The GRACE study aims to examine how environmental conditions and climate change influence global grass diversity and airborne grass (Poaceae) pollen, a major trigger of allergic respiratory disease. By distinguishing between warm-season (C4) and cool-season (C3) grasses, this study aims to improve understanding of climate-driven changes in Poaceae pollen exposure and their implications for human and planetary health. The proposed publication is being prepared as part of a series of manuscripts on Aerosol Trends to underpin the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
