This project presents the Local Contraction Interpretation of Gravitation (LCIG) model, a hybrid interpretive framework that augments standard general relativity with an effective local contraction rate. Spacetime is conceptualized as a single three-dimensional frame that undergoes inward transitions via the fourth dimension in regions containing mass, biased by local contraction, while undergoing outward transitions on global scales in regions of empty space. This duality offers a conceptual account of gravitational attraction and the perceived directionality of time. The model reproduces all standard predictions of general relativity and cosmology exactly, including surface gravity, gravitational time dilation, turnaround radii, and galactic rotation curves (using only baryonic mass). It provides a unified interpretive bridge between local gravitational phenomena and cosmic expansion. A phenomenological metric ansatz and discussions of the arrow of time, entropy, and foundational paradoxes (Maxwell’s demon and Loschmidt’s paradox) are included. File: LCIG Model.pdf
