Examines treatment outcomes in high-risk endometrial cancer, suggesting effective sequential therapy approaches.
Evidence from the PORTEC-3 and GOG-258 trials suggests that radiotherapy improves locoregional control, while optimal systemic chemotherapy is critical for distant disease control. But delivering chemotherapy after radiotherapy may compromise dose intensity. In our practice, patients with high risk endometrial cancer receive six cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy first followed by adjuvant radiotherapy delivered sequentially.
