Demonstrates enhanced electrochemical properties in LaFeO3-based compounds through strontium doping, indicating potential for better supercapacitors.
Doping the A-site of perovskites with lower-valence cations, such as strontium (Sr), enhances the electrochemical performance by generating oxygen vacancies and improving structural stability. In this study, a collection of La l-x Sr x FeO3 compounds, with doping concentrations ( x ) of 0, 0.1, 0.15, and 0.2, was prepared as anode materials through a sol–gel process. The impact of Sr doping on the oxygen vacancy concentration, structural stability, and electrochemical properties was systematically investigated. The La 0.85 Sr 0.15 FeO 3 electrode exhibited optimal performance, yielding a superior capacitive performance of 270 F/g at 0.5 A/g. The obtained findings confirm that Sr-doped LaFeO3, especially with a doping level of x = 0.15, serves as an exceptionally promising anode material for high-efficiency supercapacitors.
