Investigates antimicrobial and antioxidation properties of ionic liquid nanoparticles, suggesting significant functional roles.
The structural relationship between various ionic liquid-based nano particles derived from imidazolium & pyridazinium cations with their antimicrobial and antioxidation activities are the main focus of this investigation. Ionic liquid-based nano particles based on imidazolium & pyridazinium cations constitute a crucial class of ionic liquids due to their high solubility in polar environments, affordability, and safety. Bulky organic groups like imidazolium & pyridazinium species, which have heteroatoms (N, S, and P) in a central position, are found in the cationic portion of the ionic liquids-based nano particles. The interaction is frequently synergistic, with the ionic liquids-based Nano Particles molecular structure affecting its antimicrobial and antioxidation activities as well as its capacity to prevent corrosion. Because of these characteristics ionic liquids enable stronger adsorption onto metal surfaces to prevent corrosion and interact with microbial cell membranes. Ionic liquids with longer alkyl chains or particular functional groups, such as hydroxyl or heterocyclic aromatic groups, typically exhibit improved performance for both these functions. In the current study, we have investigated the MIC values of antimicrobial activity and IC-50 values of antioxidation property for synthetic ionic liquids in order to demonstrate additional characteristics of these liquids. Ionic liquids have the ability to scavenge, as indicated by the IC-50 values in DPPH and ABTS assay. Quantum descriptors of DFT give these ionic liquids stability and reactivity, theoretical investigations offer comprehensive structural relationship of ionic liquids.
